Wednesday, May 9th, in Montreal, Just For Laughs was celebrating its 30th Anniversary, and boy did they do it in style! They hired Improv Everywhere to create an mp3 Experiment. At 5:17pm, an incredible amount of people, who prior to this time, downloaded an mp3 exactly 43 minutes long. We were all supposed to start our mp3 at 5:17pm so we would go through the same motions in the middle of Downtown Montreal. I was honoured to be one of their highlighted experiment(ers) and I was followed by a very sneaky camera crew. I also documented my whole experience using Instagram. Check it out by clicking here.
This is me getting ready to do the Just For Laughs #mp3experiment.
We had to start in a retail store and do things like, admire an item, rearrange a display, slow dance with an item, and pet something.
Next, we all had to freeze for a minute, then walk around giving random people high fives and thumbs up to show that this whole crew of people are friendly.
Then we had to have a thumb war. I was smoking this guy, so I let him win the last round.
After all that, you can imagine how sleepy you become, so the mp3 (Mark) tells you to take a nap on the ground. This was a perfect time for me to tweet
Next we had a dance party all the way up to Place Des Arts!
Then we had to make a human bullseye!
Get ready folks, its time for an Epic Battle!!! We had to divide into teams (by colour), and blow up our balloons (that we were instructed to bring) to use as our weapons!
Everyone playing dead after the epic battle.
Then it was time to smile! We were handed cards with a big Just For Laughs Smile on them and we were all supposed to look up to the cameraman on the roof and wave! Great ending to an incredibly successful event!
